Gardening & Seed Swap
Transition Horsham’s Eleventh Seedy Saturday will include the usual seed swap and stalls from local horticultural societies, nature reserves and charities. Come and find out how local voluntary initiatives have started on the low carbon route to address the climate and environmental emergency. And how you can help.
If you have no saved seeds to swap you can pick up packets of seeds you want for a donation. Seed saving encourages bio-diversity in plants and insects, produces strong, locally acclimatised plants and saves traditional varieties. Also find out about Transition’s Community Allotment – new members welcome to grow and share organic fruit and vegetables.
Friends of Horsham Park will once again be hosting ‘Growing together’ with a focus this year on bee friendly gardening. Visit the stand for advice on a wide range of sustainable gardening topics, experts will be on hand to answer all your gardening questions. Bring along samples for diagnosis from the plant doctors who will also provide you with the best green gardening remedies. Join in all of the family friendly activities you have come to expect from the FoHP stand. Friends of Horsham Park are looking forward to meeting you again this year.
